Support a Missionary

Ashley Wojton has been living in Haiti for nearly 4 years. She works with the orphanage, several families in our family program, and is an administrator at the international school, Providence Academy.
Please read on to see her support letter and her heart behind going:

I can't believe it has already been 4 years since I moved to Haiti. I remember dreaming of this day three and a half years ago when I first visited Haiti. I remember how little I wanted to go that first time and how I expected to be so unmoved since it was my tenth country and my fourth mission trip.

I remember so clearly driving through Port-au-Prince, which is the most poverty-stricken city I have ever witnessed. I saw a desperation in people I had not seen before, streets filled with trash, homes made of scraps, tins, and tarps, and wandering, hungry, half-dressed children begging in the streets and I knew. I knew then that I had fallen in love. Before I met one person in Haiti, before I met the children that would break my heart, before I noticed the mountains or the breathtaking landscape, I knew that this is what God had called me to do.

I am fortunate enough to have one of the wisest pastors I have ever met. He has taught me to dream big and never settle for anything less; that God has an exciting adventure planned for my life, a bigger plan than I could ever dream up, and there is nothing like playing a part in God's story. He taught me to jump in no matter the cost, or how crazy it seems, and no matter how difficult it is to leave, because it would be worth it.

This year I took a leap of faith and Hearts & Hands of Heroes worked alongside FEP, the orphanage, to start an international school. I was no longer able to work at the university. The school has gone better than we ever could have imagined and we are so thankful for that. Unfortunately, I lost the income I had from working at the university. I am still searching for people to partner with me financially.

Everyone that God impacts through me there will be because of you and your sacrifice to give to me in prayer or financial support. You will be the reason I am able to love the ones the world has called unlovely, fight for the underprivileged, bring hope to the hopeless, and share our greatest treasure, the story of Jesus to those who desperately need it. You will be making an eternal impact around the world for our King.

If you have any questions or would like to talk with me in person, I would love to meet with you and answer any questions you may have.
In His service,

Ashley Wojton
